Just wondering if other d40 owners have had this problem with the chassis bending behind the cab as nissan are blaming it on the air bags and if so what response they have had from nissan if any as they seem to have not bothered to phone back or contact me in any way

if they have said no to the warranty claim, why would they call you back?

there were reports of Rodeos doing as you say..

Keep at Nissan call them is the only way.. search for Val Davis' name on there and contact info.

The only response from nissan QLD at this time is not with airbags on it
Nissan australia still have not returned my phone calls to confirm anything as I rang them to late on a friday afternoon and they needed more time to go over the photos this was on the 10th Jan 08 still no response and they said they would ring back monday (14th)

How much weight and what have you been using it for?
I would have thought if it wasn`t over loaded or abused they would have to fix it

At the time i was towing a jumbuck camper trailer(1000kg) with a bit of gear on back of the ute (250kg)not in 4wd or on a rough track(Fraser island after the cyclone) and the air bags only had 5psi in them as mainly i use the airbags for carrying my tools around at work so no way was the ute over loaded

As I have yet to hear from nissans head office I still can't rule out the miracle that they might fix it under warranty

not at all surprised to hear of a bent an navara.

Travelled with a mate who had one...travelled the same routes together obviously...his bent where you said ....mine (not a nissan) didnt.....similar load....identical track......same driving style etc.....speaks for itself
